Location

We are in the villiage of Corteconcepcion which is 45 mins north west of Seville close to the town of Aracena.

The nearest Airport is Seville which is a pleasant 45 minute drive.

Car hire is recommended but we can arrange airport transfers if required.

Aracena is the nearest town and is the highest town in the Sierra Morena. It is protected by the
remains of a Moorish castle and a hilltop church built by the Knights Templar.

The Church is well worth a visit, but the most impressive sight is the cave, Gruta de las Meravillas,
The largest cave in Spain and where the Indiana Jones movie was filmed. There are guided tours
once groups of 12 are assembled.

Aracena is famous for the black jamon, which are reared locally. There are many restaurants and
tapas bars as well as local typical Spanish shops. The market is held on a Saturday and you can
stock up on locally produced olives, ham and pate. In the summer, each village has its own fiestas
which last 4 days each. They tend to be themed, such as the peach fiesta, the vegetable slaughter
feria, the fiesta of the road, etc. They are both fun and real spain.

Visit the beautiful communal swimming pool in the Summer months, A great spot for a bit of sunbathing.
It has a great little tapas bar for a spot of lunch after your swim.

Seville is 45 minutes away and is breathtaking in its architectural beauty, such as the Plaza de Espana,
the gold tower, the bull ring and loads of museums. The catherdral is the second largest in Europe and
is spectacular. And the shopping................!!!
